You may arrive with questions
Belonging does not require pretending certainty. Serious inquiry, doubt and patient discernment are welcome.
Our community
SolFi is a family-rooted church in Juneau, Alaska. We are building a community where spiritual inquiry, honest work, formation and service belong to the same life.
Who we are
We are not presenting ourselves as a finished institution with every answer settled. We are a real community learning how conviction becomes practice: in family life, education, enterprise, martial arts, service and the use of shared resources.
Our scale is a strength. It allows relationship to remain personal, responsibility to remain visible and participation to matter.
What belonging means
Belonging does not require pretending certainty. Serious inquiry, doubt and patient discernment are welcome.
We resist reducing people to customers, donors, labor or demographic categories. Relationship carries obligations.
Formation should awaken capacity. We help one another discover what we can responsibly bring into the world.
Community asks more than attendance. It grows through honesty, contribution, repair and care for shared work.
Rooted in place
Place shapes relationship. Our life unfolds among families, small businesses, schools, public institutions, waters, mountains and the living communities of Southeast Alaska.
We want our work to be accountable to this place: responsive to real needs, respectful of existing communities and capable of leaving more strength than it consumes.
A community changes the world when its relationships become capable of bringing something truthful, useful and life-giving into it.
