Someone taught you how to speak. You learned what to expect from other people before you could explain why you expected it. By the time you began making decisions for yourself, much of your life was already shaped by things you had received.
You may have spent years reconsidering some of those early lessons. You may also have come to appreciate something whose value you could not see when you were young. These readings begin with that experience.
A first reading
What We Inherit Before We Choose asks how we can examine what formed us and take care with what we pass on. It is a useful place to begin, especially if you want to see how the questions arise in family life, teaching, and work.
Reading the foundational texts
If you want to follow the longer argument, begin with Telos. It asks why we need inquiry before deciding what to preserve or build.
The Book of Observations then examines recurring features of formation, relationships, capacities, conditions, and change. Its observations do not, by themselves, tell us what we ought to do.
Constitutional Axioms draws six structural consequences from that inquiry. The Constitution presents one institutional construction under those constraints. Other constructions remain possible; the preceding inquiry does not mechanically dictate a single constitution.
You can read at your own pace and return to a passage when an example or objection occurs to you.

SOLFI / Ecclesia Lucis is the church hosting these readings alongside its spiritual teachings and practices. This page is an introduction to the collection. It does not establish new doctrine or amend the source texts.
Valhalla Forge and Evolution Lodge No. 9 are distinct organizations concerned with stewardship and responsibility to self, family, and community. They share interests with the work presented here while retaining their own organizational identities.
